"I've Fallen and I Can't Giddy Up!", Oil on Canvas Panel, 6"x6"

When the wind gets going the Bobble Heads sometimes get blown over. Their friends can't even help.

Bobble Head Roundup

"Bobble Head Roundup", Oil on Canvas Panel, 8"x8"

This year I found a bobble head that is a cowboy riding a steer. Here he is trying to round up the other bobble heads. They don't look like they like it.

Bobble Head from Mexico

"Bobble Head from Mexico", Oil on Canvas Panel, 5"x7"

I've been in Mexico for a month and when I first get here I like to buy a few bobble heads from the kids selling them on the street. They call them "beechos" or bugs but they make many the resemble different animals.

We have many plants in our yard that attract Monarch butterflies. Some don't survive the summer. Found this one and brought it inside to study.

Fruit with Creamer and Bottle

"Fruit with Creamer and Bottle", Oil on Canvas, 11"x14"
Unfortunately, I ruptured my Achilles tendon playing soccer so I will probably be painting more still life paintings in the studio. Either that or painting from photos. Looks like it will be a couple of months until I will be full weight bearing and able to get out for plein air painting sessions.

Thinking Of Margarita

"Thinking Of Margarita", Oil on Canvas Panel, 8"x6", $60
Equal Parts Tequila and Controy, 1/2 part lime juice, and 1/4 part Jarabe Natural makes killer Margaritas. This lime off our tree will easily fill the shot glass half way.

Earthquake

"Earthquake", 35cm x 25cm, Oil on Canvas Panel, $100
I just returned from Mexico. When I got there in December, this is some of what I found in my studio. This was a tidy stack of tiles when I left in March of last year. A week later, there was an earthquake of 7.3 magnitude with an epicenter just 15 kilometers away! There wasn't any structural damage to our house but things were certainly tossed around. I'll be posting more of the paintings I did over the new few weeks.

Stinkers

"Stinkers", oil on canvas, 10x8, $75
While painting in Montepulciano, Italy, I stumbled across these Converse tennis shoes airing out on someone's window sill. I'm guessing they didn't want them inside.
