While camping at Smith Rock state park, I hiked over the top and down the back side by Monkey rock and then along the river and back to where I started.

I camped at Smith Rock State Park and captured several images of the area en plein air. Hiked some trails, over the top and along the river. The first evening there, I painted this 9x12 just before sunset. The low spot is Asterisk Pass although Asterisk Rock is not visible from this angle.
